
Human Landscape # 4, 2020′, a new 3-dimensional landscape’, will be part of the group-show Lucas Gassel Revisited at De Cacaofabriek in Helmond (NL).
Lucas Gassel was a 16th century painter from Helmond, who gained fame in Antwerp. He was the first painter in the Lowlands – the Netherlands and Belgium where still together at that time – to give the landscape itself a central position in his paintings. Lucas Gassel revisited will show work by contemporary artists reacting on Lucas Gassel’s work.
At Museum Helmond ( March 10-August 30) there will be a huge retrospective of Gassels paintings “Lucas Gassel – Master of landscapes”.
